Just WOW!! Gerry looks kinda crazy. Rock and Rolla meets DOT. I bet we get some new film quotes LIKE THIS IS SPARTA out of this film.

JJ started a thread with the trailer from copshop.

The comments are negative. I watched the trailer and it says too much for me and it is confused. It is a gente that I like, but I didn't understand who is ​the main character 😅

I read an interview with Frank Grillo that Gerry initially turned down doing the movie. Maybe Gerry also felt at first that CopShop was a risk after Greenland with his female fans.  Greenland was a welcome change of genre for us ladies. You can see by the audience reaction numbers for Greenland the guys were disappointed that it was a family centered film.  

CopShop definitely gives the vibe of RocknRolla, but this time Gerry is in the bad guy role.  The trailer is playing like a action/comedy and it is playing to male audiences.  I think most female fans will give this one a pass to be seen in the theaters, I didn’t see DOT in the theaters either.  I was lucky and got to see RocknRolla in the theaters and it is one of my favorite Gerry films and hoping Copshop will be a surprise like DOT which I waited to see on demand also and has become another Favorite films.

Thanks for the link to the 2nd CopShop shorter trailer, if someone hasn’t seen the full trailer, I think this shorter trailer is not as interesting to be an audience draw.  I am not fan of that Gerry screaming scene which seems to be major hook for the film. (Shades of 300 screaming scenes, and he has more to offer than that to be the pull in a movie).

According to this tweet it Looks like they have started press junket interviews for CopShop in the Uk. The movie opens 1 week earlier than in the U.S. on Sep. 10th. I will keep an eye out for it at HeyUGuys site.
