cancan Great news that Geostorm opened #1, Deadline Hollywood only listed the amount of the box office on Sunday and not its ranking.. I swear The writers at Deadline Hollywood are always reluctant to give Gerry good press.

Well I rented geostorm last night. It was okay. Not my favorite Gerry film. I agree Geostorm was okay, the problem I had with it was that the reshoots they did were a problem for Gerry since he had already added that 25 pound weight gain for DOT which was just about ready to start filming. In the new added scenes you can see the difference in his appearance from one scene to the next. I would love to see the version of the film that Dean Devlin shot, there must be a lot of film on the floor because the major scenes Gerry did where when he was heavier. Lastly, I did not like the use of a countdown clock to a Geostorm, it was too simplistic and a typical movie ending, I was hoping for a more sophisticated film. on a positive note the new Box Office worldwide total is up to $218.5 million according to Box Office - Japan Box office keeps adding to it, hopefully it could make another 1.5 million and get to $220 million which gives the film at least a $100 million profit.

We all said Gerry's films seem to fall in current affairs. Well Bill Nye the science guy haa a series of climate change shows coming on the Peacock channel tonight. They showed a trailer and it looks awesome. While he was being interviewed he said if we dont start taking it serious we may end up seeing huge hurricanes hitting around the world at the same time. That is what happened in GEOSTORM, scary as hell.

Collider ranked geostorm as #1 on the list of bad disaster movies which are good fun to watch. I liked the movie because of the storyline. Who knows one day it may be possible because who would have thought AI would be so controversially now.

On the internet today .. boy I would love to see the original film version 🎥 EXCLUSIVE DEAN DEVLIN REVEALS THE PROJECT HE'S DESPERATE TO REDO “It’s not my film.” BY DAIS JOHNSTON 1 HOUR AGO Dean Devlin speaks onstage during "The Ark" panel at the NBCUniversal presentations at the TCA Winte... SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON Dean Devlin is the definition of a Hollywood veteran. After getting his start as a screenwriter in the 90s, he found a close collaborator with Roland Emmerich, the director and co-writer on Devlin’s projects Stargate, Independence Day, and Godzilla. He then moved on to television, directing and writing across multiple series. Now, he’s the creator and showrunner of The Ark, an original Syfy series that pays loving homage to the golden age of sci-fi. But despite all this success, you can’t win them all. Devlin’s theatrical directorial debut, the 2017 disaster film Geostorm, underperformed and lost $71.6 million at the box office. But in the era of revisits and legacyquels, would Devlin ever make a Geostorm 2? “We barely survived Geostorm 1,” he told Inverse at an interview at San Diego Comic-Con. “The truth of the matter is I was replaced on Geostorm. Someone else rewrote and redirected 60% of the movie. So it's not my film.” But he doesn’t hold a grudge: we may still get The Devlin Cut. “If they ever want to go back and restore my version of the film, I'd be happy to do that and I'd be happy to go do a sequel to that.” www.inverse.com/entertainment/dean-devlin-geostorm-sequel-the-ark-syfy-sdcc-2024-interview
