WTF, these critics just can't wait to say flop for a Gerry film. None of the others except Boo2 topped him at the box office so they can shove their comments where the sun doesn't shine. The only two movies that did really well was Wonder Woman and It. They praised None but the Brave but it didn't beat GEO. I can see Snowman not doing well because they never really finished it and rushed it to cinema. It makes me so angry the pot shots they take on him.

The critics ripped Boo 2 and Geo and they came in first and second. The ones they praised fell way behind. I told you critics can't pick a winner. Blow hards all of them, just like to hear themselves talk.
OK one other thing and I will stop my ranting. Boo2 has made seven million less than the first one so far on first showing.

Went to see GEO tonight and I really liked it and so did the people I was with. The theater was half full and I could hear the people talking about it when they left and It seemed they liked it too. This is definitely a movie that should be seem on the big screen.
I watch science stories about outer space and I can't believe how realistic all the space station and shuttles looked. It did not deserve the trash talk it got.

All the movies released all of them for the month of October has not preformed like what was expected, yet they singled Gerry's out mostly because of the budget. I am glad he held his head up and still went out to promote it. It is a good popcorn movie. I wonder why people tear apart a movie like they think it is a documentary.

I can't help but think the first articles about the movie when they started the tv ads is what turned off potential audiences they were all written with leads saying "Geostorm is being released at the worst time with the Hurticane tragedies" "it is insensitive for WB to release Geostorm because of the Hurricanes",etc. I think people bought into the thought that they didn't need to see a movie about natural disasters when they have being living through it with 4 hurricanes in a row.
Then you go to the $15 million dollars on the reshoots, I think the critic community went into the film looking for the faults and they became extra critical.

This movie had more than that. It showed how something made for good can be turned into a weapon by the crazies who have an agenda. I was just knocked away by the nasa scenery and all the space station scenes. Those space suits must be a terror to wear. I know this will sound nuts but I wondered if Gerry with all the water he drinks had a problem with going to the bathroom. I know he mentioned something about that in an interview what the astronauts deal with. Now I know why he looked stressed and sweaty in some of the pics when he was in the suit. |

I just saw some totals for GEO, I don't know if they are the final totals so far for the two weeks.
intl--113,400,000
dom--23,553,368
total---136,953,368 if these are close than they made the 120 mil and the 15 mil for reshoots back. I think WB may let it run a few more weeks.

Oh I forgot to tell you all when I went to the movie and Gerry did a slight bend over one of the girls said nice butt, so I hit her, not to hard but we got a laugh out of it.

 It is good to see that the movie made more than its budget but they won't be in a profit making zone until it makes it to at least $200 million which London Has Fallen made on a $60 million dollar budget..  Are crossed that the movie has another $75 million of box office revenue internationally. It Sucks that Thor was released this weekend and that Geostorm had to compete with it and it took in over $100 million this weekend. Next week Thor will be released in China so I hope the revenues for the week in China doubles and Geostorm could take in another $35 million before Thor moves in on the weekend. All in in all the biggest disappointment is that Geostorm couldn't compete in the U.S. Market at all.. Someone At WB pulled a Gods of Egypt and they couldn't sell a movie that was caught in a middle of a controversy this time due to weather disasters and it is just SAD.
