Lionsgate closed out at CinemaCon yesterday, but no teaser for The Plane.. so I don’t think we will see a release in 2022. Good/Bad news on The Plane release .. looks like they are finishing the film but they are not releasing the movie to 1st quarter of 2023. (This release date explains why Gerry did LSA, he wanted a film released in 2022., even more disappointing that it was not a good movie) Good to see the excitement for the Plane in the quote about the film.😊. “Yo! Nothing but bad news for Gerry’s career.. I couldn’t understand why Lionsgate was dragging out The Plane’s release date and not firming up that January, 27, 2023 and on top of that changing its title for some reason. well here is probably the reason for not committing to releasing the movie .. Lionsgate May Spin Off Studio Instead Of Starz As It Confirms Separation On Track Despite Volatile Markets
Lionsgate on Wednesday confirmed that it remains on track to separate Starz and its studio business despite volatile markets, noting that it’s now focusing on spinning out the studio instead of the cable network and streaming property.
“As negotiations progress we have increased our focus on the possibility of spinning our studio business, creating a number of financial and strategic benefits. In that regard, we are continuing productive negotiations with prospective strategic and financial partners on both sides of our business,” the company said in an SEC filing.
It said it remains on a path to complete a transaction despite “volatile market conditions.”

I was wondering why they would have changed the movie from The Plane to just Plane and my husband gave me a good reason.
he said there could be a trademark conflict with Fantasy Island tv series.. and how Herve Villechaise who said the "the Plane, the plane" in the beginning sequence of the show (actually he said Da plane but Da means The. It was odd that the film went to untitled Gerard Butler status after the film was completed glad they settled on a title so they can promote the film soon.

I agree, he should have a better way to get PR… so disappointing to see that performance over and over again. he should concentrate on his career choices. This article on the new poster is what I was concerned about over LSA…. quote— “his one looks like a return to form for Butler after the disappointing Last Seen Alive. Thanks, I liked the trailer..👍🎥👍 but, one thing I came away with is I think this film is why we won’t see another Has fallen movie, this film fills that movie series gap.
Gerry needs to do this slated project which can become a franchise next — it will involve more than action sequences.

then do Greenland 2 and move to Den of Thieves 2 last since it is a heist film.
Covid was caused a gap in filming his existing projects, I hate to think he won’t get more wining projects - he needs to get healthy.
