It's funny that they said it's gonna to be film in London, but it's not in London LOL People should learn that London is only a big city and not the country, they should've said it's going to be film in England.

I also think since the world saw destruction they are going to have to recreate these new environments - actually I thought they would be doing what How to Train Your Dragon has done building sets of Berk in a studio setting. this is a article I posted earlier which gives a good feeling for what the film’s environment will look like. Greenland 2 Director Teases Dune-Like Approach To Gerard Butler Sequel BY GRANT HERMANNS PUBLISHED MAY 16, 2023 Exclusive: Greenland 2 director Ric Roman Waugh teases a Dune-like approach is being taken for the story of the Gerard Butler disaster movie sequal a quote in the article —. ..” Yes, we are still talking about the sequel to Greenland which, to me, is one of my favorite movies to work on, because it isn't a sequel, per se. It is a continuation of the first story. It's kind of like the way they had the money to make Dune in two parts. What I love about the way we're going to do Greenland is the first movie was all up to the extinction event, the second movie will be what happened afterwards. Who survived, and how do they keep going when all the resources were depleted, and the world put in disarray? So, it's going to be a great exploration in our own kind of creative way of going, "What happened when the dinosaurs were extinct? What happened in our extinction period, and what happened to the Earth and humanity after?" screenrant.com/greenland-2-story-dune-comparison-director-comments/

I thought they were going to film in studio, the best one in London are the Pinewood Studios, but I think it's depend on the budget, maybe Pinewood are too expensive.

Another press article noting filming schedule quote — The man they call Gerard Butler, Mr Gerard Butler, is back on British shores for the next few weeks, as filming is now underway on the sequel to the terrific 2020 movie, Greenland. The new film is called Greenland: Migration, and is set to pick up where the first film left us. Gerard Butler takes the lead alongside Morena Baccarin. Given that the first movie left things – spoiler free! – in an interesting place, the sequel has plenty to feast on. The plan is to shoot the movie in the UK through until the middle of June, before then completing a couple of weeks in Iceland. Ric Roman Waugh, who directed the original movie, is also back behind the camera for Greenland: Migration. The script has been written by Chris Sparling and Mitchell Lafortune, and the plan presumably is to get the film pretty much done this year, ahead of a release in 2025. filmstories.co.uk/news/greenland-migration-gerard-butler-starts-filming-in-uk/

It's not taking longer to film, 2 months, for what the article said.

I checked to see how long it took to film the first Greenland movie and it was 2 months…looking like Greenland Migration will be done close to that same time table.
“Filming Principal photography began in June 2019 and wrapped up on August 16 of the same year in Atlanta.”

No body lives there do they. It looks like an abandon town. It does look like it was hit by a comet. Is that just the props for the movie, if it is then they got the look they wanted.

Hi, I do think this town must be a part of the village without viable customer commerce so the could do this transformation for the film shoot. Those set fronts are probably easy to set up and remove. I am wondering why the production company allowed the photos, but I imagine it is not a spoiler.

Lolita.. BBC article on the start of filming explains the towns view of the filming 👍 quote “Parts of a market town have had a post-apocalyptic makeover for an upcoming Hollywood movie. Greenland: Migration, starring Gerard Butler, is being filmed at Alton in Hampshire. The Market Square and some of the town's roads and parks have been closed for the filming of the sequel to the 2020 thriller Greenland. A spokesperson for Alton Town Council said it was "very excited" the town had been chosen as a location for the film.” www.bbc.com/news/articles/cle0px0xx8vo
