Wonderful to see Gerry got a new project in the works, but.. I am not a fan of the genre, one disaster film did enough damage to Gerry's career  I guess all of the "end of world hysteria in 12 years" right now in politics in the U.S. could be driving the genre again. Hoping it is a good script. I wonder what happened to Afterburn... |

This film's storyline has me thinking it maybe like the movie a "Quiet Place". Makes me wonder if that is why it wasn't made with Chris Evans??

Oops, yes, I should have explained that this article was before Gerry was attached, Chris Evans was to star before and a different director. I have been curious about the script which seems to be a big secret. Looks like the project fell apart fast I think it was because Chris Evans moved onto a new film, but STX the film company that did Den of thieves is the studio doing the project and it looks like that they want the movie made ASAP. Hopefully it will be a go for Gerry and a good film. |

Anyone have a suggestion as to who Gerry should have headline this film with him? I like to see him keep his Scottish accent for this film and I would like to see him work with Hillary Swank again. I guess the female lead will come down to a combination box office draw internationally and budget for the film.

It is amazing how this film is moving so fast into production, I wonder when we will hear of the casting. You would think they will want another big name to co-star with Gerry. I think this is going to be a lower budgeted film like Den of Thieves so casting may have well known T.V. Actors.

Looks like STX is promoting Greenland at a Comic-Con this week.. please ignore the first photo for a Guy Ritchie film, sorry to say Gerry is not involved in his film..

I am not sure, but he could still need more investors for Greenland since he is producing. “GREENLAND’ was to be CURRENTLY EYEING MAY 20TH PRODUCTION START IN TORONTO and you wouldn’t see Gerry going to a film festival that is going on during the production timeline. Cannes is from 5/14-5/25. That is why I think the film is being delayed, we should already heard about casting news also. I guess we have to wait to see. |

Well talk about moving productions around — Greenland is not filming in Toronto and it looks like the location picked which is Georgia is in jeopardy due to a new abortion law - can see boycotting of his film happening again if they film there.  “A spokesperson for STX Entertainment, whose film “Greenland” starring Gerard Butler is currently slated for filming in the state, said via a spokesperson they are taking their cue from the MPAA and issued this statement: “We are taking the situation seriously and are assessing it along with others in our industry. This is news... In a exclusive this site indicates Greenland to film in June in Georgia.. But also that Kate Mara is to star.. I am not sure about that casting news since she was attached tone film when Chris Evans was to star in this film.
