Interesting, Pepper. A new thread for Hunter Killer is a good idea. If we find out later on that he`s not actually in the movie, it can always be deleted.

Hope he does do it. It'll keep him busy and take him into early summer.
However, how many presidents has he saved in his movies?
Would be nice to see him doing other stuff... As long as he's working and happy, then I'm happy.

I hope they officially announce he's signed-on to do this project soon. Until I see it back on his IMDb page I feel like they are just using his name to get the project underway.
Still, if this goes ahead it will be quite a busy year for him - Geostorm, LHF, Hunter Killer then the publicity for LHF in October. Plus, from a producing point-of-view, he's got SoS coming out later in the year too. Then maybe he'll have a bit of a break until the release of GoE? Would be good to see a couple of projects for 2016 in the pipeline too (which I'm sure there are behind the scenes).

Another link www.ktva.com/casting-call-for-hunter-killer-extras-gerard-butler-confirmed-811/Casting call for ‘Hunter Killer’ extras, Gerard Butler confirmed By Daybreak Staff 2:36 PM February 20, 2015 ANCHORAGE – This weekend is your chance to become an extra in a major motion picture set to be filmed in Whittier. “Hunter Killer,” based on the book “The Firing Point,” will be filmed in Whittier this spring. The movie is considered an espionage thriller involving submarines. Producers say Whittier will be transformed into a seaside Russian town. Casting Director Lauren Kimball stopped by Daybreak Friday morning to let viewers know about this weekend’s casting call at the Millennium Hotel in Anchorage. “When they come to the Millennium Hotel, they go to a check-in desk. Two wonderful ladies will be there, very friendly,” Kimball explained. “They will get a short form they will need to fill out and then they will be given a number and go in to a room. I’ll introduce myself and we’ll take their picture and they’re on their way.” The casting call is Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Turnagain Room on the third floor. Kimball says applicants only need to provide their name, phone number, email address, age, height and weight. Although not necessary, she says if they speak Russian or have military experience, it could work to their advantage. “Hunter Killer” will be directed by Martin Campbell, whose credits include the James Bond film “Casino Royale.” Kimball also confirmed that actor Gerard Butler would be starring in the film. Local production company SprocketHeads, LLC is coordinating the Alaskan hires.

Prayer circle! I really hope this one comes through. He will be busy, but he needs to be this busy. He hasn't had a big year in a long time. Everyone else can do 3 or 4 movies and promotions a year, so can he! thud

Ok, I thought this was a go for Gerry?
Well, anyway, I really have a good feeling about Gerry being in this one. I love this kind of film, and he will look great and we know he know he will fit perfect into this character!
