Yes! Them both having love interests makes it a lot nicer. That way, the secret service chick is the obligatory romance before being a bad ass agent. They both have strong chicks in good jobs it looks like. I think the blurbs sound fine, I hope it is something similar to what's been said thus far.

Fredrik Bond Has Signed on to Direct the Anticipated 'Olympus Has Fallen' Sequel
Gerard Butler garnered a much needed and deserved comeback last year with the box office hit action film, “Olympus Has Fallen.” With the enthusiasm audiences gave to the movie, its production company, Millennium Films, decided to greenlight a follow-up, “London Has Fallen.” But with the movie’s director, Antoine Fuqua, currently working on the upcoming crime thriller, “The Equalizer,” with Denzel Washington and Chloe Grace Moretz, he had to hand over the helming reins of the anticipated sequel. Fredrik Bond, who made his feature film directorial debut with last year’s independent romance drama, “Charlie Countryman,” which starred Shia LaBeouf, is now in negotiations to helm the series’ new installment, “London Has Fallen.” After his first movie premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, Bond was place on the list of many anticipated projects that were in search of directors. The filmmaker, who was a music video director before he began working on movies, was on the shortlist to helm another high-profile sequel, “Pirates of the Caribbean 5,” before entering negotiations for “London Has Fallen
Olympus Has Fallen” stars Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman are also expected to reprise their roles for the upcoming sequel. In the follow-up, the three main characters from the first film, including Mike Banning, a U.S. Secret Service agent (Butler), the U.S. president, Benjamin Asher (Eckhart) and the speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Trumbull (Freeman), are attending the funeral of the British prime minister when disaster strikes again. Christian Gudegast penned the most recent draft of the sequel’s screenplay. Focus Features will distribute “London Has Fallen” domestically, and is hoping to begin production in October. Butler, Alan Siegel, Mark Gill and Matt O'Toole are producing the action sequel, which is set to be released next year.
There is a video here, but I cant access it due to location.
Btw: This Fredrik Bond is a Swedish guy, well experienced in the commercial-making-business too.

I am a bit 'worried about the timing ... how will they shoot LHF in October if then in December Gerry must shoot Gestrom? I think it takes at least 3-4 months for a decent movie, maybe Gerry will be cloned...

I wondered why you put this here instead of the London thread, but yes then saw the month. I thought London had moved to December and Geostorm was October? I would hope they mean more pre production work begins in October, I would hope it had begun already. Remember when there was supposed to be a conflict between London and Point Break? He could have filmed all summer and then gone right into Louisiana for Geostorm. Oh boo, frustrating.

It doesn't matter which thread, hehe. I think the conflict is in his approach. He's trying to do all tentpole movies all at once, rather than saying each quarter, what can I do, a movie, television, a play, a charity. He should have a reserve for every time of the year instead of waiting for big things that always seem so difficult in happening. It cost him with Motor City, and now he's losing whatever steam Olympus made because Gods of Egypt is so far away.
Not that he should choose just anything, I'm glad he's not doing Point Break, but his choices vision seems to have gotten narrower. Just looking at all the old photos CGE posted shows he used to be a lot more diverse in his roles and mediums.

I just wish he would do some drama roles too soon, and not just action or romantic comedies. But I`m looking forwards to Geostorm. It sounds quite interesting.

Honestly, I think he should never have done the romantic comedies. Did someone tell him that it would make him a bigger leading man? Because he was already a leading man with men for 300 and to women from Phantom. Romantic comedy hotties are usually new, unknown scene stealers that capture viewers. He was going sideways with them to start and I think by doing more alongside the weaker Gamer, it back peddled more than helped - again when Law Abiding Citizen was quite fine in between. Again I think 2010/11 he did well in choices with the first Dragon, Coriolanus, Preacher, and Mavericks, but the fallout from the comedies in addition to the other small indie feelings of 3 of 5 of those, did him in for a few years. I think he wants to work, but why are these things so difficult in coming together for him? Why am I so serious?!

I don`t mind you being serious, So. It`s very interesting reading your thoughts. They do raise some very good points, and makes you start thinking.

Saw this on Twitter from Dean Devlin Dean Devlin (@dean_Devlin) tweeted at 1:54 pm on Tue, Aug 26, 2014: Shooting starts for #Geostorm in six weeks! Game face! t.co/aZE4CBq75c()

I get so excited when this thread is bumped and yet I'm always hesitant that it is going to give me the wrong news, hehe. So 6 weeks is when it starts shooting? Prep must be underway completely now. Filming begins the last week of September, then? He'll literally be finishing this and then be off for London Has Fallen.

Yeah, Guess so, but it`s still kind of strange that all the latest articles about London has Fallen mention they will begin shooting in October.

EMBLA you're right, I had not noticed the news ...as he does to begin filming Gestrom in 6 weeks, if he has to start LHF on October 2 ?? there is something that does not fit ...

Wow, some international footage I guess for all the satellite action perhaps? I think I read an article awhile back saying films are expressly putting Asian scenery and flavors into their films - sometimes inserting additional or different scenes even - just to ensure the market appeal and the billions to be made there. Strange but true I guess.
