Thanks Elsa.. I am Going to miss seeing the interviews .😢. Gerry needed this boost, “out of sight -out of mind” is true. This promotion and special screening/premiere were odd. Everything concentrated in 1 week and after, no sign of him anywhere. Are we sure he wants to keep to be an actor? For I see, I doubt. We'll see what they are going to do to promote Kandahar.

Unfortunately p, Plane’s theater count was cut by 210 sites from 3,060. It could have been worse, but it is a shame it didn’t get a larger release to start. Hopefully, some of the football fans will show up since no games on Saturday since the movie was release. Only Sunday games this weekend. With no international promotion, I doubt it will do very well.

I just found out why PLANE moved up its release two weeks.. it is because of the Oscar films 🎥 we’re going to have re-releases and will be adding theaters. Looks like no matter when The Plane would have been released competition would be tough for an action film. From The Numbers - about this weekend released — “The box office performance of Avatar: The Way of Water certainly won’t be harmed this weekend by its 4 Oscar nominations (including Best Picture). How much it will help is the pertinent question for our weekend predictions. It’s the only film from last weekend’s top 10 that looks likely to get a bump from the nominations. One film that wasn’t in the top 10 last weekend could be revived by its Oscar noms: The Fabelmans will add a thousand theaters and try to ride its seven nominations to the best weekend of its run so far. Other Oscar hopefuls expanding this weekend include The Banshees of Inisherin (back in 1,205 theaters), Women Talking (adding 553 locations to play in 707 theaters), Elvis (rereleased in 841 theaters), and Tár, which expands from 106 to 537 movie theaters. Going up against all that are three new releases: Infinity Pool, Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist, and Fear. That’s a lot of competition in the lower reaches of the top 10, but Avatar is in little danger of losing its top”
Plane is box office prediction is $3.5 million.. which should bring its domestic total close to $25 million.

Plane is moving up very slowly, looks like it will get to $25 million this weekend, but still really disappointing numbers., I wonder how Gerry is feeling. They released 3 more horror movies this weekend, and they did really high numbers. It hurts to see Gerry get decent reviews — but I think the reviews are not written in a way that sells the movie.. they are back-handed reviews..consensus on RT is an example - I think they needed a more exciting title..tell the audience what they are going to get…. I am Also confused by the fact they haven’t given the movie a fresh rating on RT it meets the criteria but it hasn’t change. Maybe it is because the release schedule internationally just started this weekend and they are expecting more reviews.
CRITICS CONSENSUS Plane charts a standard action-adventure course with its cruising altitude just a few miles above Direct-to-Video -- but with Gerard Butler in the cockpit, thriller enthusiasts will still find this a fun flight. Read critic reviews
AUDIENCE SAYS Check your critical thinking at the gate: The plot's preposterous and loaded with entertaining action, making Plane plenty of good old-fashioned fun. Read audience reviews

Good news Rotten Tomatoes for Plane is now “Certified Fresh” at a score of 78. Unfortunately 2 new reviews from the UK Daiky Mail & Times Uk were added both with rotten rating taking the score to 77.. which still qualifies as fresh once it goes under 75 it will remain as a fresh rating but no longer certified fresh. I had a feeling the haters were still out there. www.rottentomatoes.com/m/planeI think there should be at least one more PR push with a tv add that it is certified fresh. /photo/1

Box office for this past weekend…
7 - Plane $3,815,377 -27.7% Theater count 2,852. -208 Average per theater $1,337 Total $25,365,142
Good to see oniy a 27% drop in box office from last weekend even with the screen reduction of 208. International numbers not in yet, they are usually posted on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I can’t believe this, it is like a joint attack against Plane from the UK press, the certified fresh rating is announced and then hours later 3 rotten rating reviews turn up.. it is at 76% now and if it drops below 75% the certified fresh rating will be removed and it will revert to a fresh rating.. don’t get why the UK press doesn’t like/support Gerry. 😢

Maybe it's because UK don't like this kind of movies, I'm guessing 🤷🏻♀️

Bad news about theater counts for this weekend- Plane lost another 600 screens total of 800 less screens from its opening weekend now only 2,208 sites. The VOD streaming begins tomorrow for PLANE I hope it does well… and I will be streaming 😊🎥👏

Just saw PLANE.. streamed it this morning and it was Great! Gerry was so good in this role, it deserves to be certified fresh!🎥👏👏👏👏👏🎥 And it deserved a better PR push, I wish I could have seen it in the theater on the big screen.

Sorry to say the Plane was knocked off the top 10 films at the box office this weekend, 5 new films were added this weekend and the Plane lost 1,000 theater. Not sure what the total will be but so far it will have to do better than 2.4 million to stay In the top 10. Maybe the release on streaming along with the less sites contributed to the drop. I am hoping the international box office will bring better news tomorrow.

A nice review from the UK really like his quote “Family Values are the heart of PLANE” PLANE REVIEW FEBRUARY 5, 2023 EWAN GLEADOW Quote - “Willpower alone is keeping the Gerard Butler-led action feature sub-genre afloat. Plane sees the action star soar through yet another high-quality B-Movie-styled feature. It would be rude to say that Butler has “peddled” or “continued” these action flicks, as if that is bad for the state of cinema. Plane has its place. Stronger and more grounded than Greenland, the sour taste of John Cusack’s 2012 lingers on, but his work alongside director Jean-François Richet is a fine bit of escapism. Butler picks up a pilot’s costume and ditches it, eventually, to get a gun and some tight-fitted shirts. “ Family values are the heart of Plane” entire review here- I’m a little confused about the John Cusack's 2012 comment though? cultfollowing.co.uk/2023/02/05/plane-review

With the deep theater cut to the movie it fell to #11 estimated 2.2 million weekend total 28.8. New International totals not noted yet - Tuesday is the usual date of release. Things are moving slowly, but still hope the movie makes $30 million domestically. 🤞👍
Streaming profits and ranking of the film news to come 😊🎥
