There is an interesting article at Screen Rant about the Fallen franchise. Why Gerry's OHF went on to be a franchise and White House Down didn't even though the films were similar in story. Sometimes we think because box office seems low that Gerry's films aren't profitable. They are because his films are made on smaller budgets which makes profits so much better.

News about Millennium movies to be franchised into TV series development started.. Has Fallen noted but they are starting with The Expendables and Rambo quote The other shows Greenstein mentioned being in potential development are Hellboy and Has Fallen, the Gerard Butler action franchise about a heroic former secret service agent that began with 2013's Olympus Has Fallen. Of the entire slate he mentioned, Hellboy is probably the least likely to come to fruition, considering the fact that the 2019 Hellboy reboot film was a box office flop and Disney's Marvel Cinematic Universe mostly has a monopoly on Marvel projects at this point. Adapting the comics may result in some sticky negotiations with them, much like the troubled truce reached between Marvel Studios and Sony in the Spider-Man deal. screenrant.com/expendables-rambo-television-shows-development-details/personally, I have a lot of questions about this move by Millennium because I got the impression that G-Base was making plans to expand to multiple movie platforms.

Oh this is more bad news on sequel Night Has Fallen… quote Given the nature of the suit, it seems only natural that both Butler and the producers would hit pause on more Has Fallen movies until it has been resolved. What is also interesting to note is that in November 2021 it was confirmed that Millennium had a Has Fallen TV series in development, meaning plans to continue the franchise with or without Butler might be in the works. The lawsuit has likely put development of Night Has Fallen in a precarious position, so time will tell if Butler's Banning returns to the big screen or if the franchise's future is on television.
screenrant.com/night-fallen-movie-gerard-butler-lawsuit/maybe this is why Gerry is moving ahead with LAC sequel.. but boy I would prefer a good guy role for Gerry rather than a killer. I am not going to see that film because it was too vicious for me.

So wish that Gerry will get an opportunity to make the 4th installment of his Has Fallen series look at this news about Angel Has Fallen wegotthiscovered.com/movies/a-face-smashing-action-sequel-leaves-a-trail-of-broken-bodies-on-the-streaming-charts/“ Some people may prefer their action movies to have some depth or substance to them, but there’s a huge number of genre fans who want nothing more than to see a grizzled badass decimate as many enemies as possible within the space of two hours in as many gruesome and inventive ways as possible. Luckily they do, otherwise Gerard Butler’s career would be in a much different place, with the star’s A ngel Has Fallen becoming the latest entry from his back catalogue to blow a hole in the streaming charts. As per FlixPatrol, the third installment in the reliably entertaining franchise has ascended to become the 13th most-watched title on the Paramount Plus global rankings, with subscribers in no less than 18 countries all deciding that the time was right to watch Butler’s Mike Banning thwart a conspiracy the only way he knows how; by dropping bodies left, right, and center. The Fallen series has hardly been a favorite among critics, but when you consider that Angel‘s middling 39 percent Rotten Tomatoes score is dwarfed by a 93 percent user approval rating, then you get a sense of how the general public feels about watching the no-nonsense Secret Service veteran single-handedly barrel his way through a small army. Angel Has Fallen‘s $147 million haul at the box office also pushed the property past the half-billion mark in total, even if there’s a lot of people beginning to grow impatient with the fact we haven’t heard a peep out of upcoming fourth chapter Night Has Fallen since it was first announced to be in the works back in November 2020. At least there’s always Olympus, London, and Angel to tide them over in the interim.”

Well, looks like the Has Fallen series could be over for Gerry…😢🎥. todays deadline Hollywood headlines NEWS ‘Has Fallen’ Film Franchise Switches To TV; Mathieu Kassovitz To Star In Series Backed By StudioCanal & Co-Produced By Gerard Butler’s G-Base quote. “Paris Is Fallen is set up at Canal+ in France; ZDF in Germany; Canal+ International in Poland and Africa; and M7 in Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Slovakia. StudioCanal is preparing to shop the eight-part series to U.S. and UK buyers over the coming months. Kassovitz will star as Vincent, a protection officer to a French Minister, who is the target of a terror group led by villain Jacob. Vincent works with MI6 operative Zara to keep the politician safe, but they eventually unravel a wider plot, suspecting that a security service colleague is feeding information to Jacob, who is always a step ahead in his mission to bring down Paris. Butler, who plays all-action U.S. Secret Service agent Mike Banning in the film franchise, is not officially attached to star in the TV adaptation, but Deadline hears he could make a cameo. Deals for other cast members are currently being finalized.” Read more here—- deadline.com/2023/05/paris-has-fallen-gerard-butler-mathieu-kassovitz-studiocanal-1235364471/Edited to note -a post I posted above on May 28,2022.. “ November 2021 it was confirmed that Millennium had a Has Fallen TV series in development, meaning plans to continue the franchise with or without Butler might be in the works. The lawsuit has likely put development of Night Has Fallen in a precarious position, so time will tell if Butler's Banning returns to the big screen or if the franchise's future is on television.”

So he will be only a co-producer and not to be in it, they are not even sure for a cameo. I think we have few options for this: 1) he can't physically; 2) we know he doesn't like to be in TV series; 3) the commit for a TV series is longer than a movie and he doesn't want to; 4) he is starting to be only a producer instead to be also an actor.

What I find concerning is the timing of this announcement- why do it before Kandahar is being released? I think it overshadows Kandahar not helps its release more.. it looks like to me that the French producers did want it to piggyback on Kandahar’s pr release but I think they should have waited to after the film was released. If Gerry does any press junkets interviews for Kandahar you know that will be the headlines and not Kandahar.

Of course, Avi, would do anything to distract from Gerry getting promotion for his film. They even mentioned the lawsuit. Avi, is a nasty SOB.

I agree, and it is amazing how no mention of Kandahar is in all of those articles on this story.. Joblo site had Kandahar trailer at the end of their article but that was the only one I saw. I also think Avi was in charge of the timing of this announcement to mess with the promotion of Kandahar. I just don’t know why Avi has to be so vindictive.. Gerry made him money, it was Gerry’s talent he deserved what was promised.
