I just watched DOT again and the bad ass side of Gerry would scare the heck out of me. A little bit of his persona in the movie. His eyes can get scary mean. It was a great movie and I hope DOT2 is just as good. Can't wait to see bad boy again.

Bad news.. Den of Thieves Paterna will not be released in September- Lionsgate picked it up which is good news but darn this means no movie release in 2024 for a Gerry movie. This will mean 3 movies being released in 2025 Den if Thieves in January, Greenland Migration in March and How to Train Your Dragon in June. Quote on Den of Thieves Paterna.. “Meanwhile the Gerard Butler sequel Den of Thieves: Pantera will hit cinemas on Jan. 10, 2025; that title arriving to Lionsgate through its eOne acquistion”. Gee, after reading more on the release by Lionsgate they got the movie through a purchase of a subsidiary group eOne and Lionsgate is only slating the movie for a limited release, so I guess it will then be released through streaming.  |

i can’t wait to see the trailer 👍 I sure hope the film gets a good start since Lionsgate announced a limited release initially for the film through a sub- company (I posted about this earlier on this forum) which I hope is wrong. now Lionsgate is moving a Mark Wahlberg film they are distributing from October to January 24. 2 weeks after DOT2. Den of Thieves 2: Pantera, is not, as I mistakenly thought when I read the title too fast, about robbers taking down a chain of bakery cafés. It also has nothing to do with the metal band. The action flick, which hits theaters on January 10, is named for something relevant to its plot. I’ll let writer-director Christian Gudegast explain: “It comes very specifically from the name of the task force that was tasked with hunting down the thieves responsible for a series of heists throughout Europe that were perpetuated by a group known as the Pink Panthers, or Panther mafia, who are largely from the Balkan region of Eastern Europe.” In Spanish, you see, “pantera” means “panther.” The multinational team that set out to stop the gang, Gudegast adds, “was called Task Force Pantera.”
All this to say: Den of Thieves 2 is about an international jewel heist. O’Shea Jackson Jr.’s character, Donnie Wilson, the secret mastermind of the first installment, is part of a squad that schemes to knock over the World Diamond Center. (Hell yeah, brother.) Except this time, it seems as if Big Nick is switching teams and joining the criminal side. (HELL YEAH, BROTHER.)

Screenrant has a new article on the movie with poster too. Seems like the movie is drawing interest. I hope it is awesome. It sounds like a crazy story line.
