Why on earth would they be giving exact locations of where they'll be filming? Are you new to Gerry's filming sessions on location? They've done this before, and a lot. Sometimes I think they actually want "fans" there. Not sure why but putting this out there, all things considered, they're inviting (at least) locals to show up and create a buzz. Or they are trying to also drum up publicity for Geostorm whilst also keeping fans away from other productions in Shreveport where fans are downright stalking the closed sets. The info on filming locations is kind of easy to find if you look the right places, but it is kind of odd to advertise it like so. smiley-confused013 |

In filming, don't they have rehearsals, like sitting around a table and reading script? When did our people do this, they have to practice or talk it over with everyone,don't they? Did they have meetings in L.A.? Or what? How can they just start filming, I know they have been working on the sets forever, but.....just wondering.

I've done theatre work before, and usually before you start rehearsals, you sit in a circle reading it off script, and discuss the play in general. In filming I think there'll be a morning team meeting, with the actors and the production/background team being used that day, I would presume. Everyone needs to get along, as they're filming together for long periods.. Regarding the scripts, ideally they should know their lines, so it will just be a case of having a quick read around the table, altering any text which doesn't sound or work well for the actors. You usually don't know what doesn't work until you're being filmed...constantly unable to remember a particular line, or a line with a dual meaning, if you understand? The good thing about filming is you can keep retaking lines, scenes until everyone is happy, but unfortunately you can't do that in theatre... Forget your lines, and you're f****d. I think that's what happens during filming, I could be completely wrong. |

Going by the cast and crew and production tweets, it seems like everything at Geostorm is going on form - except Gerry. He is the person that seems out of the loop seat of the pants here. The others were doing training and in town for whatever type of readings or prep was chosen to do. As far as we know Gerry was there one night?
I wonder if there is some sort of insurance or negotiation or health problem? Is he holding out for something? Are they plastering his name with the film for some sort of hardball tactic? This is so odd.
