Here is a link to Saban Films, you will notice that they have a full compliment of indi specialty films and most have had limited release and direct to video the same day. I wonder how long it will take for the studio to release The Keepers. www.sabanfilms.com/ |

There is an article at The Wrap about Saban and it is interesting because they use Lionsgate to help distribute films. Lionsgate has distributed Gerry's films before so maybe this will get more than just a dvd presentation.

I read that article also, I think Loinsgate has distributed the Power Rangers films, Disney is involved also with the Power Rangers. but it does seem like they also release specialty movies here is a link that takes you to a page showing their slate - Keepers not listed yet. www.sabanfilms.com/selected-slate/There are two films on the slate a 700 theater release for Tom Hanks film Hologram For the King and the Hoseman with Hilary Swank 200 theaters. What bothers me is that it seems the movie is not going the route of film festivals like Dear Frankie and become a Awards contender. But on the positive side is that it got a distributor domestically.  |

I wonder if the film is going to be rolled out slowly...because Saban Films presently do a limited release for a week or so then to release them on Video on demand.

Yay so I imagine it can be released over here in the US as a foreign film. Keepers already has a distributor in the US, it is Saban Films it was announced in May. Saban Films usually has a short and very limited theater releases at the same time they release it to "video on demand". So we should get a chance to see it in the U.S. But, this UK release is the best news yet, I am hoping Lionsgate gives it a wider release than we will see in the U.S. |

There has been a little more movement on release dates for Keepers internationally.. No dates yet for the UK and the U.S. Release Dates UK 2018 Italy 15 November 2018 Greece 6 December 2018 Portugal 17 January 2019

Two up-dates for Keepers
Stiges Fiim Festival official site has posted the list of guests attending. Gerry is not on the list for Keepers only the director is on the list.

The British film features three guardians of a lighthouse that, as they have done so many times, are preparing to spend six long weeks on a small island near Scotland.
This time, however, the three will make an amazing discovery. On the island, in fact, a fleeing shipwrecker brought with him a whole trunk full of gold.
The three, driven by the greedy possibility of wealth, will begin to feel ferocious feelings that will lead them to kill and fight to grab the loot. Only one, in the end, will survive.

There are a lot of twitter comments on Keeper's and so many of them are saying Gerry is great in it, one of his best performances. They comment on it being a bit slow but they do like him. It does sound like a really good film.

This is wonderful news Lionsgate has brought the rights to Keepers in the UK!!
