 Depressing news, Lionsgate is only projecting a $14 million opening weekend for AHF... last week they were projecting $20 million. They think it should be #1 but the movie Bad boys is in more theaters in their 2nd week and they think they will make $12 million so it could be close who takes the #1 spot. Why are Gerry’s movies performing so bad, action films hardly ever get critics praise but audiences still showed up. Maybe they had too many free screenings?? All I know it looks like these numbers mean this film’s total will end up being $30 million domestically This will be the third film - Gods of Egypt, Geostorm and AHF.. Hunter Killer only made $15 million ..Den of thieves made $45 million. It it is just not right that this is happening, how could he seem to have fans — unless they are older fans that don’t go to theaters and wait to watch it on DVD/streaming release.

Ok I just checked out box office mojo and if this is true they are saying AHF will be at #1.
Omg I think that will be the first time one of Gerrys film made #1 at the box office. I swear I got happy tears in my eyes. Happy so Happy for him.😊😍

Happy so Happy for him.😊😍 Yes that is the headline but read the story.. the box office total for the weekend is so low for a movie this big..if it really cost $80 Million it will #1 but still a flop with only a $14 million opening weekend. I am hoping the movie will do better than the projections!!! |

Yes but #1 is something I think he has waited for a long time. Hitting that can be very good for future roles. I guess I am to excited for that news to think money. That may bring the dollars up.

Being #1 is VERY important because it can be used for marketing and improve audience interest but it still is such a low opening weekend total for a #1 spot. It will be bittersweet for Gerry I think though. I’m going to stay positive and say a prayer that Gerry’s and the other cast members fans will show up! |

The opening screens were over 2 thousand. Today's starting screens are opening world wide at over 3500. So the number will go up.
