Who knows how they are doing it. Maybe some scenes with Rufus and Gerry have already been shot? Remember seeing a pic of Gerry and Rufus together in (think it was) a hotel in Australia.

I forget isn't the date for release in March 2016? It may have a soft premiere at a few fall festivals perhaps?

Hehe I'm not surprised. I remember during the making of the Lord of the Rings movies they had some kind of rule where they actually took and locked up everyone's cameras and pictures for several years until the films were released. I'm surprised the extras posted as much as they did even though there really wasn't that much. Again, the entire movie should have been on the ball with their own instagram or twitter releasing teasers that they wanted to keep their marketing going in the interim, keeping the name Gods of Egypt in the public eye. Otherwise, you have people who can't handle themselves on social media, and apparently a lot of people can't handle themselves on the internet today

True, true. Btw: They missed one of the pics. It`s still out there. But it`s better not to re-post it, since they don`t want it out.

I mean, without the effects and everything, some of those costumes looked really crappy anyway, hehe.

They will quite probably look fantastic when the movie is finished. I`m sure of it.

OT: There is another Egypt based series coming to TV. Tut with Ben Kingsely and airing on Spike www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/ben-kingsley-star-spike-tvs-718309I think this one may work better than the seemingly too pretty or teen looking Hieroglyph one at Fox, and it seems to be a straight historical miniseries rather than fantasy like Gods of Egypt. Will have to see what comes of it.

Spike TV? Never heard of it. But that series looks promising. Hope they`ll send it here too.

An article actually about Rufus Sewell, but it does mention Gods of Egypt.
"RUFUS Sewell was in Sydney a fortnight ago, filming his last “chunk” of Alex Proyas’s Gods Of Egypt. Due in early 2016, the fantasy film is led by Gerard Butler and Game Of Thrones’ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau along with locals Geoffrey Rush and Brenton Thwaites.
"Gods Of Egypt offered more than a belated homecoming; Sewell is also enjoying the blockbuster secrecy."
“I’ve always wanted to be told I wasn’t allowed to talk about a film,” he grins.
All he will say: “I was playing a character called Urshu, a chief architect, and it was great fun.”
For Sewell, Gods Of Egypt followed an equally godly shoot in Hungary for Hercules. “I only do gods now,” he deadpans"

Funny.. it could look like some kind of blue-screen on the ground there. Using the area where the trailers are too??

Interesting tidbit here:
"Gods of Egypt - a sneak peek onset photo represents two of the 75 Helmets made for the Army of the God of the Underworld, Set (Gerard Butler) shot at Fox Studio ..."
"Bloodhound FX HA, yes, I heard you were one of Rog's boys ... I did a few actors lifecasts out there in the Wardrobe Props dept with Gordon, but mostly worked from my Studio in Erskineville. I was able to outsource all the moulds and casting of the Helmet shrouds to my studio. Too much anti-fibreglass protests out at Fox for this job - and - Much more comfortable at mine with all the tools where i like them!"
Guess this has to be one of the special effects-guys.
