But at least GB looks sweet, no albatross for viewing the game Lol! No Freddie either. Maybe he escaped from them all for a few hours? Love Tony Curran (very underrated and never stops working) and it's good to see him and Gerry in the same place. They've known each other since they were 15/16, so if anybody can be completely honest with Gerry, it's Tony. Thanks for the photos, ladies. smiley-eatdrink004

Well, I got to go, no work tomorrow either, 57 inches of snow and it is still coming down. Thanks ladies for the chat and all the help. I saw your snowfall on the news earlier. Can't believe how much you're getting. WOW! I am 5'6" tall and the snow is up to my chin. We are actually buried in our homes. We still have a travel ban. It is to bad they couldn't pack this snow up and ship it to CA because they are suffering from a drought. The National Guard has been called in to help with snow removal. They usually load up dump trucks and take it to empty lots. People have been stuck in their cars for a whole day. It has stopped snowing for now because the ban has moved farther north but it will be heading back down later. It is bad too because it is so cold. By the weekend and early part of next week it is supposed to warm up to about 60 degrees and good Lord what a mess that will be. They just announced our travel ban may not be lifted for another 24 to 48 hours. It was the strangest sight to see the lake with sunshine and in the background the clouds looked like a mountain range, that's how solid the cloud bank was. 2500 tons of snow has been moved so far. They are talking about taking the snow and dumping it back in the lake because they will run out of places to dump it. The life and times of living in WNY close to the lakes.

That actually looked kind of fun! But a bit scary too, if you`ve never done it before. If this thing existed over here, and I had a chance to try it out, bet I would have just chrashed into the windows or something like that. Guaranteed! smiley-laughing025

When there is lots of snow everywere, it is very beautiful and everything becomes so silent. But that didn`t sound too nice, to be buried. Hope your freezer and pantry are filled up Lolita! No snow here, luckily, smiley-dance001 but it normally never gets bad until January. Noticed today there was snow on the mountains in the distance, so that must have fell during the night.

Embla, I love the snow when at night the moonshine makes it look like diamonds sprinkled on it. It does have a quiet beauty to it. This is mother nature when she is pissed. I always keep a supply of food and water on hand, just in case. This is a freak storm, not the usual type we get. This storm didn't move for hours stayed right where it was just dumping 3 to 5 inches per hour. It is so quiet though it is kinda eerie.

One good thing there weren't many power outages which is a blessing because the temps were so low.

Stay warm and safe lolita. I hope you have someone to to help you dig out of there. No, I live alone but in an apartment complex and they do all the maintenance so it is not so bad. I just will have to dig my car out but until they get the snow off the walkway I can't get to it. My neighbors all help out because we have some seniors here. It is only 14 degrees with a wind chill of minus three. Glad I don't have to go out in it.
