Wouldn't it be awesome if all the movies he has done and all the great performances he did that he would get an Oscar nod for stoick. Here's hoping.

Interesting comment from the actress playing Astrid .. I have a feeling the movie will be part of the first film and will end like the 2nd film so they will be able to do a sequel that will be more original if the movie is a hit. quote … “I think it’s very much its own thing, but I’d like to think so much of that magic is also prevalent in this one. But I think it’s its own film and it’s its own interpretation and everyone has their own version of a character. It’s important not to get too wrapped up, especially because the animated ones are so brilliant. It’s like, let’s not try and just do a play by play of that. And if anyone wants that, they can watch the animated ones. I think it’ll be wonderful, and if it isn’t, I’m having a wonderful time making it anyway. I’ll think it’s wonderful, no matter what.” While Parker’s comments might make some fans nervous, it’s still very early to speculate how the live-action version would be shaped. Moreover, fans should be happy with the fact that Dean DeBlois, the creative force behind the original trilogy, is set to remain in the director’s chair for the planned film.” Read entire article here. fandomwire.com/they-can-watch-the-animated-ones-nico-parker-hints-how-to-train-your-dragon-might-be-following-netflixs-avatar-route-in-concerning-new-update/

I'm watching httyd2 and I'm listening to Mr smooth sing and dance with hiccups mum. I forgot he sang in it with Cate B. Even in a animated movie he is charming.

I hope they don't do Gerry like that. That would ruin the stoick look. He needs to be the hairy red head and beard. That would wreck the film part of stoick.

Lolita, I agree, but I was hoping they wouldn’t expect Gerry to be big as the animation of his character.. but that example with Stoick having gray hair would definitely be a major error and not acceptable by fans of the movie.

He may get a little padding on his costume but I think they will make him look muscular.

Digital spy has an article where the movie is moved to June 2025 from March 2025.

That March release date is the same as the original movie which was March 21, 2010 and that date was a winner. 🤞my fingers are crossed that history repeats. 👏👏

Thanks Elsa, it is great to see fan enthusiasm for the film, cast looks good 👍 Gerry transformed into a viking so easily. Somewhere in his Scottish roots came out.
