Not when it comes to haircuts, hehe. At least for me anyway. I really didn't like the longer curly blonde hair that GB had pre-Olympus Has Fallen at all. Attila hair is where I draw the line

Okay okay, how about we skip the haircut and just hold him down. For whatever!

Does this qualify as Young Gerry then? Another one in need of a haircut! Attachments:

Sure that qualify as a Young Gerry, So! And that one is definitely in need! He looks a bit harder to put down though..

Just came across this pic, and thought it deserved to be placed here too: LOL! Looking really good. but somehow I started thinking of the front cover of a romantic paperback novel. Arrr!

That is some kind of photoshopped cover isn't it? I know an author who writes Highland romances and would cast GB in every one of them if she could, hehe I have to say though, I like him older more than younger.

Is it that Outlander book series that`s always popping up while you`re doing a news search, So? I do like him better older than younger too. He`s got a stronger, more characeristic face now. But he looked really hunky as Beowulf!

No Outlander is a different thing that's going to be on Starz soon. I've never read that one. I do love the Beowulf look, too. I don't think he's chubby in that but for some reason it seems like he's expressly covered up in that movie and I don't know why. Too me it isn't so much young or old, more like pre 300 and post. There are those of us who were around long before and then all those that came after.

But seriously, totally agree. They did hide him a bit too well. I liked the costumes though, they looked quite autentic. Gerrys helmet looks quite similar to this one.

I love the look of his Beowulf, indeed, and all the authentic style. The dialogue though ruins it a bit. I watch it on mute. Cold aside, in the brief intimate scenes however, he is fully clothed and then covered up in the blankets, and it just seems strange as he was in fine form. Attachments:

Maybe he had bit of a shy moment there! It looked a bit awkward with the blanket, true. And the dialogue felt a bit stiff. Muting it would perhaps not be such a bad idea....

Speaking of Beowulf, they cut a good portion before the fight scene with several thugs. I really wish they had done a better job of editing. It shows gerry wielding a sword and killing them, then the scene with the young child, gerry making a grave of stones. In the story, the mother was raped and murdered and Beowulf arrives to late to save her. Could have been explained on film if they hadn't chopped it. Also I think that the costumes were incredibly beautiful especially in the mead hall, the colors were so rich . They should have won an award for that. IMO

I also liked the more realistic take on the story. Not like in other Beowulf movies, where Grendel is some sort of supernatural creature. In here, they portrayed him as some kind of Neanderthal, one of the last of the species.

I like the haircut and the little scruff shadow but he looks too young to me. I like him better rugged then baby smooth. More dimension and interest!
