Thanks for the link... I don't have any opinion yet... Now I will say something that SO will freak out... I would like to see him in another rom-com. I reaaly liked him in The Ugly Truth. He was so funny there. Yeah I understand that it's better for his career that he makes serious movies but every now and then I would like to see something softly.....  |

My husband finally just got The Last of Us today. He's the gamer I'm not, but yes yes I definitely agree he should be in a Last of Us movie! Maise Williams from Game of Thrones I heard was in talks. Didn't Ellen Page have a falling out with a game that she did the likeness for it but they used her image in a way she was unhappy with it? The Ugly Truth I find tolerable, but it could have been a lot better than it was. All rom coms seem the same and after every time I watch one, I'm like why did I waste the time. I think the whole genre is tired. I'd rather see him in something romantic that is also realistic and I don't know depressing, like Leaving Las Vegas, haha. Something about bitter in love people, something with dimension and interesting characters, not just the inevitable happy ending. I would say when was the last time he did a drama, but when he does drama like Coriolanus, Machine Gun Preacher, and Chasing Mavericks, it is so good. I'd take that trio over PS I Love You, The Ugly Truth, and The Bounty Hunter any day. The sad part is, the crappy set is the one that made all the money and the movies everyone saw. I think that is why he has been in the crossroads the past few years. Make money and be a joke or produce meaningful dramas at a loss but have acting credibility? Whew, what thread is that that suddenly go so serious?! |
