I love how it says travel isn't included. After you bid all that, they can't toss the airfare in the package?

LOL! Well, it all depends on who wins the bet, and where the meeting is going to take place. But if the airfare should be included, and the winner is located on the other side of the world, they probably would end up paying instead of earning.. If it goes for just 1000, that is.

You'd think someone would pony up more that 1k for Gerard Butler and at least make the cause some money! But the description doesn't sell it much. Basically it just says a whole lot of 'TBA' hehe. Maybe more people would bid if it actually had a movie and a location attached. He's probably got some film memorabilia that would go for this price!

He he. True, hopefully it will raise more money than that since it`s for a good cause. Perhaps it`s just me being tight, but I would never pay that amount just for a short meeting and a picture taken on a premiere. And I would hate to see my pics spread out all over the net or in the tabloids. Remember George Clooney doing something similar whith someone a while ago. Would rather spend that amount on a nice holidaytrip. But getting the chance visiting a filmset, that would really be something.

Yes that is from the final scene in The Ugly Truth. The alternate endings have a flip of the scene where Katherine H is asking if he was just faking it ~ too funny !

He he. It sounds funny, would have loved to see that! I`ve seen the movie itself, but not the alternative ending.

Embla ~ I am surprised you wouldn't know which movie this is from. I am not a member but visit different Gerry sites and know you are an avid Gerry supporter ! After reading a lot of your and others posts, I assumed you had seen all if not most of his movies.

Thats true as there are,LUCKILY for us, lots of them! I have been a Gerry fan for a long time now but just over the past year made it a mission if you can call it that to collect them all. There are some that were never released on video but one I thought had been was Little White Lies ~ but I cant seem to locate it anywhere. My hubby just bought the new 300 for me but I haven't watched it yet. I haven't heard too many good things about it but will have to watch and see. I guess without Gerry in it and Zach directing it..... well just difficult to recreate that magic ! Do you have a favorite or two (difficult to do I know) !

Little White Lies, I`ve been looking for that one too. Haven`t got any collection though, only own two. My favourites. 300 and Phantom of the Opera. That new 300 is on my watch-list aswell. Don`t know how it will turn out, and don`t think it`ll beat the first one, but it`s in a fil-genre that I know I enjoy. Love Eva Green in the Penny Dreadful series too.

As for Little White Lies we'll just have to settle for bits on youtube for now. And the reason I went for the collection of his movies is so I can get a fix when needed. Waiting for tv where its chopped down or on the computer where it eats up my alloted usuage ~ just no good so, collection it is. I haven't seen Penny Dreadful, I will definitely check it out. But for Gerry favs I agree with 300 and Phantom of the Opera but don't want to forget Dear Frankie and Roll N Rolla. or Law Abiding Citizen or best yet Machine Gun Preacher. I truly think he got robbed on MGP. It was an amazing film but didn't seem to get much hoopla from the general public ~ marketing maybe? But sticking with that certain genre, I cant wait until Gods of Egypt comes out. You can totally bet thats going to be AWWESOMMEE and with him being such a badass to boot. Its so hard to pick just a few as I truly believe his performance in all of his films is excellent even if the movie itself wasn't great. My husband and son moan and groan when I pick out one of Gerry's movies to watch but it never fails, they to agree after watching them he is so talented. He gives all of us fans so much of his time and talent, and it seems like he is working his butt off again this year, that I hope he finds his quiet/private time away from all the invasions (for lack of better word)that he seems to put up with.

True, his performanse in Machine Gun Preacher was just amazing! Perhaps it was the marketing, or perhaps it was the title or the theme that didn`t appeal to most folks? To be honest, I would probably never have watched the movie if it was not for him. Gods of Egypt, too bad the wait will be so long! Three of my favourite actors in one and the same movie!! That kind of thing don`t happen too often! - Oh. you should really team up with one of the members here, So. Bet she would be thrilled to have some other Gerry-fans to discuss movies with! Not just me.. We would love it if you would care to join us in the movie-discussions.
