A big movie slated to be released with Hunter Killer has been moved 2 weeks back into November, October 26th was very crowded screenrant.com/overlord-movie-release-date/ so this is good news that one movie moved, I hope another film won't move into that slot Except from article announcement - Overlord movie "In the film's previous October 26 release, Overlord would've competed against a variety of smaller films. Johnny English Strikes Again is the biggest title, a sequel that comes seven years after the last installment. There's also the faith-based drama Indivisible and a Gerard Butler action film Hunter Killer. The general reception that the Overlord trailer has received could've given it a solid opening against weaker competition. But, it would be competing with the second weekends of Halloween and Andy Serkis' Mowgli" |

Just saw the trailer, damn it looks awesome. I think he has another hit. Guys will like it and woman will because if him. Michael N. last film and Gary O. will also be a reason to see it.
I have to say he has some dumb luck when it seems like current events tend to have am effect on his films. This one is Russia.

I agree Gerry seems to have dumb luck when it seems current events tend to have affects on his film- OHF and North Korea, LHF and terror attacks and now Hunter Killer and Russia tensions. Not to mention the hurricanes and Geostorm and GOE and racial controversy.  Loved watching the 3 trailers Gerry posted, but I wonder why he posted them at the same time and did not wait to tease them out over the next 3 months. Must say I think is a bad timing releasing the trailer with the new Mission Impossible coming out today. And I think comparisons to other sub movies will haunt this film like DOT and the movie Heat, Comments haven't bern very possible . DARN everyone is a critic, this is why I am not a fan of social media! I think the movie is going to be a fun watch and I hope the critics won't kill interest with unfair bias! |

This site has the Hunter Killer trailer but they are looking back at Timeline and missing that acting of Gerry in Timeline. There is an article at a site called JOE and it is pretty harsh for HK. I wish they would stop judging a movie by a trailer the asshat critics.

It is unfortunate that Gerry's recent films have been in the center of controversy. I just don't think Hunter Killer will be reviewed well due to politics and also because the film does mirror the "has fallen" template.  That the fact that there hasn't been a submarine action film in a long time that it will not flop. I hate that October date though everyone is going to Halloween flicks! |
