Just saw that Machine Gun Preacher will be shown on Turner Movie Classics cable channel - this is the first time I have seen the movie on cable outside of Starz - check your local listings if you get Turner Movie Classics -unfortunately it is airing at in the early evening here on the U.S. East Coast - 2:30 AM on Friday, June 3rd. It is also slated again on different dates in June according to my Xfinity program list but they are either at 2:30 or 4:30 AM EST. Turner Classic Movies doesn't edit films. They do a lot of restoration and widescreen work and always allow a film to be shown the way it was meant to be seen. It is however, quite a sign if a newer film is added to their catalog, as they only selectively praise recent films.
If it is one of the other Turner movie channels or TNT, they it will be chopped to wahzoo with an hour of commericials added, too.

Even sadder news tonight - it was reported that it seems that Chris Cornell committed suicide. Just doesn't seem possible he had just done a concert a few hours before and he has a wife and three children. |
