Just saw this on tumblr, looks like there are posters for Septembers of Shiraz at the Cannes Festival "Salma Hayek, Shoreh Aghdashloo and Adrien Brody are set to star in the thriller The Septembers Of Shiraz, which Millennium Films and now will start shooting June 9. The pic, directed by The Sapphires helmer Wayne Blair, is based on the New York Times best-seller by Dalia Sofer, was adapted by Hanna Weg and launched at Berlin’s EFM in February. It is the true story of a secular Jewish family caught in the Islamic revolution in Iran, and their journey to overcome and ultimately escape from the deadly tyranny that swept their country and threatened to extinguish their lives at every turn. Gerard Butler, Alan Siegel and Danielle Robinson are producing under their G-Base banner, along with Heidi Jo Markel and Weg. Eclectic Pictures also is working on the production which will be based at Millennium’s Nu Boyana Studios in Sofia, Bulgaria, and also will shoot in Israel. This is no news for us BUT an exclusive preview poster was released today at Cannes Film Festival. " salmahayekfanpage.tumblr.com/post/85836366770/exclusive-poster-of-septembers-of-shirazSo maybe he will make an appearance there as producer?

Someone posted on their Facebook about going to the premiere of How to Train Your Dargons on Friday. With Gerard Butler. That person was in Cannes, and the way it was written, made it seem like Gerry would be there. Is the premiere of the movie in Cannes on Friday? (But he could perhaps have meant that Gerry was in the Movie though.)Tried to find the post again, to link it, but in vain.

I thought they already had the Dragon 2 event earlier in the week, there were pictures of America Fererra there, so I thought Gerry would have already been there if he was intending to go. However, if Septembers is selling there and there is more Dragonness to come, then here's hoping!

One thing that bothers me about this movie is that they`ve got horns on their helmets. Viking helmets never had horns. Another fun fact is that here, where I`m from, in the middle of the real "hardcore" Vikingcountry, they`ve only discovererd (embrace yoursevles)..... 1.... Vikinghelmet!! So the theory goes that most of them actually didn`t wear helmets at all....

I Googled viking helmet images and most of the pics that came up had the helmets with horns...a few that didn't but apparently those didn't even belong to the Vikings!!

Vikings thought fighting with protection was too pussy. My ancestor was a viking Danish king and they were crazy in battle like that.

LOL! I was hoping to get a glimpse of it in that clip! It`s incredibe what some are willing to do to get some attention. Btw: Thought Kit Harrington was alot taller than that. Maybe it was because of the guy he was standing next to. He looks alot taller in Game of Thrones though.

Found some Septembers of Shiraz news: Armin Amiri has gone from checking the guest list to topping it. A decade ago Amiri was manning the velvet ropes as doorman at uber-exclusive Chelsea club Bungalow 8. Now we hear he’ll be starring alongside Adrien Brody and Salma Hayek in the Gerard Butler-produced film “The Septembers of Shiraz.” The flick is based on the 2007 book by Iranian author Dalia Sofer and takes place during the Iranian revolution of 1979. That also happens to be when Amiri fled Iran for the U.S.
Here is the guy. www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/confidential/dicaprio-throws-hull-party-article-1.1809211

Still on producing then, no sign of a cameo? Considering how he took his travel year off, I would think he would still want to find more material in which to act then do behind the scenes. Get him on screen and in audiences minds again between tent pole films. Unless he intends to direct something

He's right. That guy was finally in court and got restraining orders after he went after Brad Pitt on the red carpet. I don't get how people thought it was some kind of prank joke when he is assaulting people.

At first, I thought it had to be some kind of joke,a really distasteful one. But seriously, how can people behave like that! Still guess he only wanted his 5 minutes of fame....
