Thanks for the photo and news Gerry is on his way out of Toronto - I wonder if that woman meant in her comment "Gerard & Miami ✈️" that she was happy to meet Gerry and that she is on her way to Miami - or was she saying Gerry was on his way to Miami? Could be Gerry's Mom and Dad are in Miami for the Christmas Holidays and he is heading there to relax and enjoy the Holiday with family? I guess we will know soon enough if he was heading to LA. His Parents don't go to Florida until mid January and I hope Gerry comes home for Christmas....ALONE!

I think the woman is on her way to Miami but also had the pleasure of meeting Gerry. In the comments, someone said they didn't recognise him. However, both could be on the same flight. Scotland is still recovering from a terrible storm, so Gerry's family would really have needed to be in Miami for over a week already. Southern Scotland got it really bad. Parts of Glasgow and Edinburgh are still waterlogged. Trains cancelled for health and safety reasons, possibly flights too. Even the roof of one of Glasgow's cinemas blew off yesterday in the city centre, narrowly missing pedestrians. Also, it came to light that there is a structural issue (nothing to do with the storm) on the Forth Road Bridge (this bridge enables Northern and Central Scotland to cross the River Forth to reach Edinburgh and further south to England). Both lanes have been closed and it won't be opened again until the new year. Drivers are having to go on a detour to cross another road Bridge (Kincardine) which is popular if travelling to Glasgow and the South West. The tailbacks are horrendous. Train stations are overcrowded now too, and Scotrail are having to borrow extra carriages from England. The carparks at the stations are overcrowded, people abandoning their cars just to catch a train to work. Absolute chaos apparently! It's horrendous Daisy. Apparently on Thursday even the Kincardine Bridge closed for a while.

Here, everything goes on as normal. Thank heavens! but the main road if you are heading south is closed for the moment.

On my goodness, how awful. We were nailed last year with snow and it has been mild with no snow yet. I think the water is worse. They moved the snow with bobcats and put it in trucks and drove it to empty lots but you can't do that with water. They say this el nino is the strongest in years and it is going to cause a lot of weather trouble. Ladies be safe and take care, hopefully it will let up soon.
